8MM Live presents: It’s For Us + aftershow DJ from the return of the one the only Joe Dilworth.
It’s For Us is a four-piece post-punk band originally from
Stockholm that’s been active for more than a decade. With members currently scattered all over Europe (SE/DE/FIN), they come together a couple of times a year when the stars align to lock themselves in a dusty and badly lit studio somewhere to write and record a new album. The music they create reflects the intensity and urgency of these sweaty weeks and moves seamlessly between walls of noise and beautiful heartbreaking melodies. Sometimes alternating between the two, but more often doing both simultaneously and at a pace that’s almost at the limit of what they can play, making it an intense listening experience. lt’s For Us has released two albums – Come with me (2017, Luxury) and Stay (Novoton, 2019) and three EPs (2013, 2015, 2020).
