Zwei, the second album of the band (2021) has been praised by the french Press (Libération, Inrocks, Gonzaï) and the Quietus says :
“Its successor retains some of the key features of the debut, such as the macabre mood and Oberle’s incantatory vocals, but this feels like an armour-plated upgrade”
Heimat has released a remix LP of their track in November 2022 containing takes of the legend Sonic Boom, famous slow techno Tolouse low trax tracks and promising Zohar among the others.
Heimat has supported Fever Ray on tour in April 2023
BEYONDRE ( No Wave )
Beyondré is the pop-electronic, dance-oriented alter ego of André Baum. The NYC-born, Berlin-based writer, singer, musician, and visual artist creates at the intersection of sound, image, and word, crafting a daring style all his own. Classically trained in piano, Baum’s early love of electronic music, hip-hop, and 2000’s New York bands helped shape his unique voice. For the past 15 years of production and performance, Baum’s multimedia practice has covered a broad spectrum of music and artwork for stage, gallery, and recorded formats.
Beyondré first appeared in 2013 with the “Beyondré Is Born” EP. Ten years later, the follow-up LP “Berlin Blue” was released with French label Yoyaku. As one-half of electronic duo People People, Baum released his first 12” on Discobar in 2020 featuring a club remix by techno legend Ricardo Villalobos. After two years hosting parties at Berlin institutions Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse, 2023 saw Baum release Forgive the Night EP with Chris Korda on Foom, debut People People live at NYC’s Resolute/ Can You Jigit party, release two LPs as Beyondré and People People on Yoyaku, and contribute a song for Seth Troxler’s new label Slacker 85.
FERTILIZER ( Post industrial Noise, Circuit Bent Wizardery )
Fertilizer is a description of death and rebirth. What seems valuable becomes worthless, and what seems worthless feeds seeds and flourishes. This is a story of one world ending and the same world born new. Old electronics collide with a soft medium. Ultimately nothing is synthetic.
